Although he knew that the move would imply a more distant relationship with his daughter, Nicolás Cabré decided to support Rufina's decision when she expressed her desire to live this experience with her mother and her new blended family.
Some time ago, during an interview on the program Vuelta y Media on Urbana Play, the actor spoke candidly about how he navigates fatherhood from a distance and acknowledged that it was not an easy process.
“There isn't a day that goes by, and I think this happens to all parents, that you start to understand the things your parents used to say. Today, now that I no longer have them, I discover many things they lived through and understand things they may have never told me,” he expressed emotionally.
Additionally, he reflected on the role he chose to take regarding his daughter's decisions. “It's like you shouldn't be a stick in the wheel against decisions that sometimes you may like more or less,” he stated.
The actor also emphasized that the experience of living in another country can be very enriching for Rufina, both culturally and personally.
“You understand that you shouldn't be a stick in the wheel and that when she, thank God, has the opportunity to decide and say: ‘Well, I want to venture out and learn a language and a country,’ you have to understand that you need to support her,” he explained.
