Nintendo Direct left an extensive list of announcements for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, with new video games, release dates, and several surprises for the coming months.
One of the most important announcements was the confirmation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, along with news about Kingdom Hearts 4, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, and other prominent franchises.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake was one of the main highlights
As had been leaking for months, Nintendo officially confirmed the development of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake for Switch 2.
The company announced that the game will arrive in 2026, although it has not yet revealed details about its features or shown extensive material from the new version.
Kingdom Hearts 4 reappeared and will come to Switch 2
Another of the most celebrated announcements was the return of Kingdom Hearts 4.
Square Enix presented a new trailer and confirmed that the game will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 from its launch. It will also come to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Xenoblade Genesis and Fire Emblem also had news
Nintendo confirmed that Xenoblade Genesis will be released in 2027 and will mark a new beginning for the popular RPG saga.

On the other hand, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave now has a release date: it will arrive on September 17 for Switch 2.
