Nintendo presents its Indie World this August 7: new features for Switch and possible surprises such as Silksong

Nintendo is once again betting on independent developers with a new Indie World. It will be broadcast this Thursday, August 7 at 10:00 AM (Argentina time).
The event focuses on indie titles for Switch and Switch 2, and can be watched live on YouTube. There will also be live coverage on specialized portals.

What to expect from the new Indie World?
The announcement comes one week after the latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. News was revealed such as Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, Persona 3 Reload, and RPGs from Square Enix.
Now it's the turn of independent games, with exclusive presentations that could include new dates, trailers, and surprises for fans of the format.
Will Hollow Knight Silksong be shown?
The question everyone is asking is back in the air: will Hollow Knight Silksong appear?
The highly anticipated metroidvania was originally announced in 2019 in a Nintendo Direct, but so far it hasn't been presented in any Indie World. Expectations continue to grow.
What is known so far
Team Cherry, its developer, is keeping the project under wraps.
Xbox will be the one to showcase it at Gamescom 2025 (from August 20 to 24).
The title will be available on Xbox Game Pass from its launch.

An event that hasn't taken place since August 2023
The last Indie World was exactly a year ago, in August 2023. That edition featured standout titles such as Pizza Tower, Neva, and extra content for Sea of Stars.
Games like Morsels were also announced, which still don't have a confirmed release date. Now, attention is once again focused on whether Nintendo will manage to surprise with major news for its hybrid console.
