Not a single step back against Kirchnerism, the cockroaches of power

We must not back down in the face of the machinery of power that has turned empathy into blackmail and the State into spoils

By Facundo Quiroga, General Director of Institutional Relations at the Ministry of Defense.

Cockroaches do not appear suddenly. They infiltrate little by little, hide in the cracks, and feed on the filth they themselves generate. They do not care about light or darkness: what they seek is to survive, multiply, and take over every corner.

Kirchnerism works the same way. It infiltrates every institution, feeds on social pain, and turns it into spoils. Like cockroaches, they do not create anything, they only degrade what they touch. They turn social justice into business, empathy into blackmail, and the State into an endless feast.

Cockroaches withstand everything: cold, heat, even poison. Kirchnerism does too. It withstands accusations, trials, social condemnation. It reinvents itself with disguises: today they call themselves progressivism, tomorrow social justice, the day after "human rights." Deep down, they are always the same: insects of power, shielded from shame.

That's why not a single inch should be yielded to cockroaches. No ground should be given to the useless and the cynical who led Argentina to poverty, underdevelopment, and international irrelevance. Every time the country tries to rise, the cockroaches appear to halt development using noble causes as a shield.

They turn social justice into business, sensitivity into blackmail, and the State into spoils. It is time to put an end to those who prostitute the genuine pain of society to perpetuate their power.

The Senate's Coup Project

What happened in the Senate sums it all up. The same people who raised their salaries to obscene levels passed a law that multiplies pension spending to unsustainable figures. They did so under the argument that the State doesn't provide enough support, but it was not compassion, it was calculation. They seek to tie more Argentines to clientelism, manufacture dependency, and mortgage the future to buy the present just days before an election.

They talk about inclusion while forging chains. They are not interested in balanced accounts or the country's future; they are interested in making sure no one dares to dismantle the system that keeps them in power.

I know because I saw it. In Santiago del Estero, I witnessed how disability pensions were handed out in party offices, in entire towns where the culture of work was replaced by collecting welfare. That machinery destroyed generations and turned thousands of healthy young people into hostages of a check.

Now they want to extend that model to the entire country. They call social justice what is actually domination. When someone tries to defuse that fiscal bomb, they accuse them of being insensitive. It is the same mechanism that cockroaches have used for decades: moving in the shadows, instilling guilt, and making those who seek change retreat.

The Kirchnerist Health Dictatorship

During the pandemic, their mask fell off. Zamorismo became a regime of absolute control, with patrol cars on every corner and parents who lost their children to violence. Abigail was forced to be carried with terminal cancer under the sun to cross an absurd border between Santiago and Tucumán. Mauro Coronel was tortured to death, and his video was shamelessly circulated by the local police.

Franco Isorni appeared with a gunshot wound to the chin, and they tried to sell it as a traffic accident. Families were silenced, and the State denied basic rights in the name of care. It was not the virus that suspended freedoms, it was authoritarianism. Meanwhile, while all this was happening, those who proclaim themselves defenders of human rights remained silent, just like cockroaches fleeing when the light is turned on.

This is not a local problem; it is a model that Kirchnerism perfected throughout the country. Pacts with strongmen, rigged bids, compliant judges, bought silence. Prosecutor Luciani made it clear when he pointed out that these were not isolated incidents but a systematic plan of corruption that drained the Nation's resources for years.

Every stolen peso was one less road, an unfinished hospital, a classroom that was never built. That plundering is one of the main causes of our poverty and our backwardness. In Cristina Kirchner's pockets are the treatments that thousands of people with disabilities need to live with dignity. But they do not talk about that.

Since 1930, every non-Peronist government has been cornered with the same script. Peronism in opposition sets itself up as the arbiter of morality, paralyzes the country, sets the streets on fire, and uses minorities such as the poor, the disabled, and retirees as human shields until it wears down and topples.

They are the same cockroaches who applaud the Islamic terrorist group Hamas even when they behead babies, who protect the dictator Nicolás Maduro while he keeps a compatriot hostage, and who defend criminals with the Zaffaroni theory that leaves ordinary citizens defenseless.

The same people who disguised themselves as feminists while covering up abusers and supported a president who beat his pregnant wife while celebrating parties in Olivos or used the presidential office and the Rivadavia chair as a love hotel. They have no moral authority to set Argentina's course.

That's why there is no room for doubt. Freedom is not negotiable, and ideas do not kneel. Every painful measure is a necessary wound to heal a sick body. Every privilege that is touched generates screams because there are businesses that come to an end. But the pain of redirecting the path to fiscal balance is the price for the Argentina that wants to stop being a country condemned to decline.

It is up to us to complete the task that others could not finish. It is a generational challenge that demands courage, sacrifice, and conviction. We must choose between breaking forever the chains of clientelism, corruption, and fear or returning to the same old darkness.

History will not forgive us if we give up. San Martín taught that freedom requires determination and sacrifice. We choose to be free. We will not retreat. We will not hand over the country again. The cockroaches must be eradicated. Not one step back.
