One Piece on Netflix: the release date for season 2 of the live-action has been confirmed

The Straw Hats return to the screen with new adventures and a bigger spectacle than ever before. Following the global success of the live-action, Netflix confirmed that season 2 of One Piece will arrive in early 2026.

Fans can already mark their calendars for the return of Luffy and his crew. The new arc promises action, drama, and highly anticipated characters from Eiichiro Oda's manga.

When does One Piece season 2 premiere

The platform announced that the eight new episodes will land on Netflix on March 10, 2026. At the same time, images of Drum Island, a key setting for the new journey, were previewed.

New characters and greater production

The story will introduce iconic figures such as Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, and Smoker. With a more ambitious production, Netflix aims to surpass the impact achieved by the first installment in 2023.

The leaked episode titles reference cinema and hint at humor, excitement, and memorable battles.

The anime also changes its strategy

According to Toei Animation, the anime will adopt a seasonal model starting in 2026, with a maximum of 26 episodes per year. The Elbaf arc will launch in April on platforms such as AnimeBox and Crunchyroll.

Netflix accelerates with upcoming seasons

The production company is already working on season 3 of the live-action, so it is expected to arrive sometime in 2027.

The goal is to sustain the adaptation for several years, accompanying the long journey of the original work.
