On May 31, the West Frankfort, Illinois Police Department replied to a report regarding the sexual solicitation of a minor. The alert was issued following an independent operation carried out by Alex Rosen, creator of the social media platform "Predator Poachers," known for exposing individuals accused of attempting sexual encounters with minors.
According to police, Rosen presented evidence in the form of visual and audio recordings documenting the suspect, Collin P. Maguire, 21 years old and a resident of Bloomington, Illinois, confessing his intentions.
Maguire was arrested and transported to the West Frankfort Police Department for processing. He was later booked into the Franklin County Jail. According to court records, he faces charges of indecent solicitation of a minor, traveling to meet a minor, and "grooming," a legal term describing the process of gaining a minor's trust for sexual purposes.

This case has attracted attention not only because of the criminal content, but also due to the involvement of independent activists like Rosen, who have gained notoriety on social media for conducting these types of operations autonomously.
