In response to the devastating effects of the recent flood that severely affected Bahía Blanca, the pharmaceutical laboratories associated with the Cámara Industrial de Laboratorios Farmacéuticos Argentinos (CILFA) decided to launch a action plan for assistance to mitigate the consequences of this tragedy.
The objective of this initiative, they explained, is to alleviate the situation of the affected, especially regarding health services, and ensure that the community has the necessary resources to face this difficult time.
The Board of Directors of CILFA, aware of the magnitude of the crisis, mobilized to implement a series of concrete actions that not only aim to address immediate shortages but also provide support to the population.

Among the measures adopted, several key commitments to local public health stand out, an essential aspect given the impact of the flood on health services and the living conditions of the inhabitants of Bahía Blanca.
The assistance plan
One of the first steps CILFA will take is the compensation of stocks to the affected pharmacies, which will ensure that essential medications are not lacking in the city.
This measure is crucial, considering that the floods affected the ability of many pharmacies to maintain their inventories.
Additionally, in a gesture of support to the local health system, ten hospital beds and two operating rooms will be donated to the Hospital Regional Penna, one of the institutions most affected by the emergency.
Furthermore, an additional operating room will be donated to equip the Municipal Hospital, which will contribute to improving the city's health infrastructure and facilitate the care of critical patients.

Another important component of the action plan is the donation of medications to the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Bahía Blanca, with the aim of covering the immediate needs of the population.
