President Javier Milei will travel to Bolivia next Saturday, November 8, to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new head of state, Rodrigo Paz, which will take place in the chamber of the Chamber of Deputies of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.
The Argentine president will be one of the international guests present at the swearing-in ceremony of the president-elect, who won the recent runoff with 54.5% of the votes. Although the official agenda is still being finalized, Casa Rosada has confirmed Milei's attendance, in line with his strategy to strengthen ties with governments that are ideologically aligned.
After the release of the official results of the Bolivian elections on October 19, Milei congratulated Rodrigo Paz Pereira through his account on X. "Congratulations to Bolivia's president-elect, Rodrigo Paz Pereira, for his victory in Sunday's elections and to all the Bolivian people for their commitment to democracy and desire for renewal," said the Argentine president.

In his message, Milei also emphasized that the new Bolivian government "will rejoin the free world" and expressed his expectation that a period of economic openness and the fight against corruption will begin. The Argentine president described the political change as the end of the era of "21st-century socialism," which he considers responsible for the main economic and social problems in the region.
At 58 years old, Rodrigo Paz is putting an end to almost twenty years of governments by the Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS), the far-left party that has dominated Bolivian politics since Evo Morales came to power. His victory seeks to consolidate centrist leadership and a more liberal economic agenda.
