The Professional Football League confirmed that it will hold a working day with the leaders of the First Division clubs with the aim of advancing the planning for the 2027 season.
Although the organization has not yet announced the date of the meeting, it has indicated that in the coming weeks various key aspects of the organization of next year's competitions will be analyzed and defined.
Among the main topics on the agenda are the preparation of the calendar, the development of the fixture, the formats of the tournaments, and the qualification criteria for international competitions.
The intention of the Professional League is to reach a consensus on the foundations of the 2027 season with the representatives of the clubs, in a working session that will allow for discussion of the main challenges of Argentine football.
Through a statement, the entity emphasized that this initiative seeks to strengthen the organization of the championship and promote joint planning among all participants.
"With this initiative, the executives of the First Division reaffirm their conviction to work as a team to consolidate an increasingly organized, modern, and competitive Argentine football," stated the Professional League.
In this way, the organization will begin to outline the characteristics of the upcoming season, in which important modifications could be defined both in the development of the tournaments and in the access of Argentine clubs to continental competitions.
