PS Plus August 2025: which games can you add for free on PS4 and PS5
Sony has confirmed the free PS Plus games for August: they include a soulslike, a survival game, and an anime fighting game
Sony has confirmed the free PlayStation Plus Essential games for August 2025, and the selection is strong. One of the featured titles is a critically acclaimed soulslike by both critics and players.
The three games will be available starting Tuesday, August 5, and can be added to your library at no additional cost. The offer applies to those who have PS4 or PS5, regardless of whether they're on the Essential, Extra, or Premium plan.

Which games are joining PS Plus in August?
The August subscription includes three titles that combine action, survival, and anime:
- Lies of P (PS4, PS5): a dark soulslike inspired by the tale of Pinocchio, with challenging combat and steampunk aesthetics.
- DayZ (PS4): open-world survival game where players must survive zombies... and other players.
- My Hero One’s Justice 2 (PS4): fighting title based on the anime My Hero Academia, with 3D battles and many playable characters.
Until when can they be claimed?
The three games will be available to download starting Tuesday, August 5. Although Sony did not provide an end date, they usually remain available throughout the month.
Once claimed, they remain linked to your account as long as you keep your subscription active.

Is there any extra this month?
In addition to the games, Sony announced an exclusive avatar pack for subscribers. No details about its content were revealed, but they usually include themed designs from the month's titles.
