The Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Thani, will travel to Washington tomorrow to hold key meetings with senior U.S. officials amid rising tensions following a recent Israeli attack in Doha targeting Hamas terrorist leaders. The visit was reported by Israel's Channel 12 and represents a crucial diplomatic moment between the United States and Qatar.
During his stay in the U.S. capital, Al Thani is scheduled to meet with the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance; Secretary of State, Marco Rubio; and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. There is also a possibility that he will meet directly with President Donald Trump, which would be a symbolic gesture by the White House to strengthen ties with the Gulf state amid growing regional volatility.
The trip comes after Israel carried out a targeted attack in Doha against senior leaders of the terrorist organization Hamas, raising concerns about a possible escalation of the conflict and the diplomatic repercussions in the Middle East.
