Queen Máxima and Guillermo arrived in Argentina to rest in secret
The kings of the Netherlands chose Patagonia once again for a private family visit
In a trip that was kept completely discreet, Máxima Zorreguieta and King Willem of the Netherlands arrived in Argentina this Monday. The reason was a break away from protocol, accompanied by an intimate reunion with part of the queen's family.
The news was revealed by journalist Gustavo Méndez, who detailed that the arrival took place at 5:30 a.m. on a KLM flight from Amsterdam. Along with the royal couple traveled María del Carmen Cerruti, Máxima's mother, who had already participated in the celebrations for the monarch's birthday.
A trip without daughters and with a destination to the Argentine south
This time, the couple's daughters were not part of the trip, which reinforced the idea that it was a private getaway to rest and reunite with loved ones. After their arrival in Buenos Aires, the couple took a domestic flight to San Carlos de Bariloche and then continued on to Villa La Angostura.
There, the royals settled in a property they know well: the exclusive Estancia Pilpilcurá, a family estate located in the Argentine Patagonia, which is usually their choice whenever they visit the country.

Estancia Pilpilcurá: top-level, privacy, and nature
The estate, which covers about 3,000 hectares, belongs to Marcela Cerruti, Máxima's aunt, and is located in a privileged natural setting. The place operates as a boutique hotel with only five rooms, designed to provide maximum comfort and privacy.
Among its offerings are activities such as trekking, horseback riding, fishing, and guided tours to caves with rock paintings. Additionally, it features a gourmet restaurant that combines traditional Argentine cuisine with international flavors.
The royal couple is expected to remain in Argentina until May 3, taking advantage of their stay to disconnect from the official pace and enjoy the Patagonian tranquility.
