The host of La Voz Argentina praised Pergolini, avoided talking about Granados, and made it clear that the relationship is broken
The rivalry between Nico Occhiato and Migue Granados was once again evident in an uncomfortable television encounter. This time, it was during an interview on Intrusos (América) where the new host of La Voz Argentina didn't hide his discomfort when Granados's name was mentioned.
Occhiato explained that he met with Mario Pergolini after the latter's accusations about alleged "unreal data" in Luzu TV's metrics.
"I wrote to him to have coffee and talk. It was a very pleasant conversation. I told him it hurt me that someone I admire thinks that," he stated. According to his account, they checked the computer and the misunderstanding was solved.
However, tension arose when reporter Alejandro Guatti from Intrusos asked him about Migue Granados. At that point, the tone changed completely: "I'll keep to myself what happened with Migue Granados. There's nothing to comment on."
Nico Occhiato se refirió a Migue Granados.
When the journalist insisted and asked if he felt hurt, Occhiato replied curtly: "Don't draw your own conclusions. I'm just telling you I have nothing to comment on."
Mutual accusations and suspicions of bots
The conflict between the two has a public history. During a broadcast on Luzu TV, Nico Occhiato expressed his discomfort regarding the use of bots in digital metrics.
"This number isn't real. At this time, we usually have 15,000 fewer viewers. Bots were sent to us and this account posts this two minutes later. Very strange situation..." he reported live.
In that same statement, he made his position clear: "We're not competing with anyone. We're not interested in beating anyone or boasting about numbers."
Although he didn't mention Granados from channel Olga directly, his words were interpreted as a veiled criticism, considering that some time ago both exchanged media jabs.
Occhiato ended that message with frustration: "We're just trying to create the best possible content for our community. It makes me feel very powerless that this happens. I try not to get involved or respond, but emotion is getting the better of me. I want to make it clear so people don't talk nonsense."
The tension between these two figures in Argentine streaming remains palpable. Although Occhiato tried to appear measured, his gestures and responses reflected a distance that, at least for now, seems irreparable.
