The regime of Lula da Silva rejected on Saturday a request presented by the defense of Jair Bolsonaro to allow a visit from the Argentine president Javier Milei at the residence where the former president and political prisoner is serving his sentence.
The decision was made by Lula's allied judge, Alexandre de Moraes, within the framework of the unjustified restrictions currently in place against Bolsonaro.
The request from the former president's lawyers sought an exceptional authorization to allow the meeting in Brasilia, where Bolsonaro is serving a sentence of 27 years under house arrest. However, the Brazilian Supreme Court decided not to grant the request, in line with the limitations already imposed.

The denial comes after Brazilian Justice ordered a tightening of detention conditions on Friday. Among the new measures, a prohibition on receiving social, political, or electoral visits was established until the conclusion of the legislative, regional, and presidential elections scheduled for October.
According to the resolution signed by Alexandre de Moraes, for the next thirty days, only medical, physiotherapy, and legal professionals will be allowed to enter the residence. Thus, any other type of meeting is expressly prohibited until the electoral process concludes.
