Renee Nicole Good, the woman who was shot by a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer after she tried to run him over with her vehicle, was an active anti-ICE militant in the city of Minneapolis and was part of violent organizations that attack federal operations against illegal immigration in the state of Minnesota.
According to information revealed by U.S. media, Good was considered a "warrior" within these far-left spaces and participated actively in confrontational actions with federal authorities.
Good, who had moved to Minneapolis the previous year, became involved with anti-ICE activism through her six-year-old son's school environment. According to various sources, the boy attended a progressive school that openly promotes a political and social agenda, boasts of putting "social justice first" and prioritizes "involving children in political and social activism".

In that setting, Good reportedly made contact with other activists and organizations aligned with the violent resistance to ICE's presence in neighborhoods in the area.
ICE Watch
Among the groups with which she was involved is ICE Watch, a network of far-left activists that operates in Minneapolis and has similar expressions in different cities across the country. These coalitions function as early warning systems in the face of the presence of federal agents, using apps, whistles, and car horns to warn illegal immigrants when they detect ICE operations in the area.
However, ICE Watch's activity and that of related groups is not limited to observation or notification. According to what can be seen on their social media, these organizations are also confrontational and violent. The anti-ICE group has "manuals" for confronting federal agents during operations.
In the past, numerous incidents have also been recorded in which left-wing activists ran over federal agents with their vehicles, a type of attack that, according to federal officials, has become increasingly frequent.

According to data published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, vehicle attacks against ICE agents increased by 3,200% during the last year. The figures show a significant jump in this type of aggression, which went from just two incidents in the previous period to a total of 66 attacks recorded between January 21, 2025 and January 7, 2026.
Federal officials attribute this increase to "radical left-wing rhetoric", which has helped legitimize and encourage violence against agents responsible for enforcing immigration law.
