Repulsive: Moreno promises to draft a sex offender after 'serving his sentence'
Moreno stated that he would call journalist K Ezequiel Guazzora, who was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse, when 'he serves his sentence'
The Peronist leader, Guillermo Moreno, once again found himself at the center of controversy by publicly stating that he would drafton journalist Ezequiel Guazzora, convicted of aggravated sexual abuse, once he serves his sentence. Far from showing the slightest rejection in the face of one of the most heinous crimes, Moreno chose to justify the abuser, downplay the events, and also launch an unusual attack against President Javier Milei.
When the interviewers questioned him about Guazzora's mental state and described him as a "sick man," Moreno came to his defense with a comparison as absurd as it was offensive, saying: "So, the one who says 'my children are dogs' is mentally healthy," in direct reference to President Milei. Instead of condemning a sexual offender who was found guilty by the courts with overwhelming evidence, the former Kirchnerist official chose to downplay the abuse and divert the discussion toward the political leader who has garnered the most popular support in recent decades.

The sentence: (12/27/24)
The courts sentenced the ultra-Kirchnerist activist and journalist Ezequiel Guazzora to 10 years and 6 months in prison for sexually abusing a teenage girl in 2023. However, far from any kind of repudiation or ethical reflection, former Kirchnerist official Guillermo Moreno shamelessly anticipated that he would call him "without hesitation" when he is released from prison, revealing a pattern of impunity and ethical degradation that seems to be commonplace in the group he is part of.
The sentence was handed down by the Oral Criminal and Correctional Court No. 24 of the Federal Capital, composed of judges Maximiliano Dialeva Balmaceda, Marcelo Roberto Alvero, and Javier Esteban de la Fuente, who found him guilty of the crimes of sexual abuse with carnal access, minor injuries, and resisting authority.
The total sentence was unified at 12 years in prison, by adding a previous sentence of 3 years handed down by the Federal Oral Court No. 3 in 2021. The prosecution, led by Ana Helena Díaz Cano and with the intervention of assistant Leandro D’Ascenzo, had requested exemplary sentences. In addition, the court ordered that, once the sentence is final, the genetic profile of the convicted individual be extracted and incorporated into the Genetic Data Bank, in accordance with Law No. 26,879.

The victim was not only handed over by her own circle, but her own mother was convicted as the primary accomplice to the sexual abuse with carnal access, receiving a sentence of 10 years in prison. During its closing argument, the Public Prosecutor's Office had requested 18 years in prison for both and also accused them of the crime of corruption of minors.
Guazzora arrived at the trial in custody after having been a fugitive for more than two months. He was captured in October 2023 in a house in Merlo, thanks to an investigation by the Fugitive Capture Secretariat (SeCaP). During the trial, overwhelming evidence was presented, including messages in which Guazzora requested girls or teenage girls for sexual relations. In those exchanges, a person offered him her own daughters in exchange for bank transfers. The account holder was, none other than, the victim's mother.
The girl identified the building where the events took place and gave testimony considered key by the court. In addition, the General Directorate of Investigations and Technological Support for Criminal Investigation (DATIP) conducted a technical examination of the accused's devices, which confirmed the crimes.
