Commerce employees start January 2026 with a wage increase confirmed by the latest collective bargaining agreement. The understanding includes two fixed non-remunerative amounts that affect earnings in the first quarter.
The scheme applies to January, February, and March, with incorporation into base pay only in April.

What the current collective bargaining agreement establishes
According to the official union statement, each worker receives an extra $60,000 per month. Another allowance of $40,000 is added to that amount.
Both amounts are non-remunerative. That is, they don't generate contributions or affect the bonus during the quarter.

How the fixed amounts are paid and when they become part of base pay
The agreement sets a clear scheme for the quarter. During January, February, and March, both amounts are paid as additional items.
From April 2026 onward, those amounts are incorporated into base pay. From that point on, they do affect contributions and the bonus.

The understanding includes a review clause. In March 2026, the union and the business chambers will negotiate again.
