Río Cuarto: Retail sales increased in June and local commerce is consolidating
According to Cecis, sales increased by 1.52% year-on-year in June, with key sectors such as household appliances and optical stores on the rise
Retail sales grew by 1.52% in June compared to the same month last year, according to Cecis. This figure marks a significant advance for the commercial sector of Río Cuarto. The year-over-year increase demonstrates that activity continues to move forward despite the context.
The improvement occurred in 9 out of the 12 categories measured, confirming a generally positive trend across different sectors. Local commerce is beginning to consolidate a recovery that had already been emerging. In this context, merchants are once again looking to the future with favorable expectations.
The positive figures reflect that the economy is beginning to show concrete signs of stabilization. In a climate of fiscal order and predictability, consumers are once again reactivating consumption. This is possible thanks to the conditions caused by the new economic direction.

Home appliances and optical stores lead sales growth
The home appliances category had the highest year-over-year growth, with 8.26% more sales. Optical stores followed, with an increase of 3.34%, consolidating the interest in durable and essential goods. These figures reflect greater purchasing power and more confident buying decisions.
The growth of these categories shows that families are resuming purchases that had previously been postponed. Price stability and lower inflation are driving more rational decisions. It also demonstrates a dynamic commerce sector that is adapting to the new reality.
These sectors are driving the rest of the commercial chain, generating economic activity and employment. The momentum of commerce is key to sustaining the productive engine of the interior of Córdoba. Río Cuarto shows a possible path for other cities.

Digital commerce advances and expectations rise for the coming months
71% of surveyed businesses already have some digital sales channel, according to Cecis. On average, e-commerce accounts for 32% of their total operations. This modernization strengthens competitiveness and expands sales channels.
62% of surveyed merchants are confident that sales will improve in the next two months. Another 25% believe they will remain at stable levels, which reinforces the optimistic climate. There is a general expectation that the coming months will be more favorable.
72% of businesses do not anticipate changes in their staff, which shows job stability. This figure indicates sustained confidence in the economic direction. The reactivation, although gradual, is already beginning to be noticed on the street and in businesses.
