The judiciary confirmed indictments for drug trafficking, forgery, and illegal possession of weapons in Córdoba and San Luis
Hugo "Lelo" Agüero, detained in Pellegrini, Buenos Aires, led a drug trafficking network from his cell. He coordinated the purchase and distribution of cocaine in Río Cuarto and San Luis together with his partner and several accomplices. He was detained in 2024 in an operation by Gendarmería, with drugs, a weapon, and counterfeit dollars.

Logistics from Río Cuarto to San Luis
For three years, the gang operated between Córdoba and San Luis, using cars and transfers to move drugs and money.
Cintia Pérez, Agüero's partner, was a key figure: she worked at the Río Cuarto Municipality and closed deals. They used packages impregnated with industrial grease to hide the cocaine in a Renault Megane III.

Family ties and retail sales
The accomplices included Pérez's relatives and "Jony" Pérez, who carried out the transfers and collections.
The drugs reached resellers such as Sebastián Beltramino and Santiago Tellechea, identified through wiretaps. Transfers and bank account records completed the circle of evidence against the gang.

Arrests and key findings
On August 7, 2024, Gendarmería intercepted Agüero and Gómez on the road with a kilo (2.2 pounds) of cocaine in the trunk of the Megane. He also had 15 counterfeit 100-dollar bills and a pistol with ammunition.
Several houses were raided, where more counterfeit bills, drugs, and notebooks with sales records were found.

Indictments confirmed by Federal Justice
Judge Ochoa indicted seven defendants for trafficking, possession, and aggravated concealment.
The Federal Chamber of Córdoba upheld the indictments for the crimes committed in both provinces. Prosecutor Cabanillas highlighted the degree of organization and continuity of the drug trafficking activity.
