Ricardo Darín broke the silence about his conflict with Julio Chávez and confirmed that the fight is now a thing of the past.

According to the actor, they had a private conversation, exchanged apologies, and clarified that there was never a real conflict between them.

What happened between Darín and Chávez?

It all started with an old statement by Darín about physical transformations in acting, which was interpreted as a dig at Chávez.

The protagonist of El Eternauta clarified that his words were not directed at anyone in particular. Apparently, he didn't even know that his colleague was going to play a role with such a significant body change.

In an interview with Agarrate Catalina (La Once Diez), Darín assured that the controversy was stirred up by entertainment journalism.

"When something is fueled, then you have to step up, and if you don't, they say you're arrogant," the actor explained.

Darín revealed that they exchanged private messages with Chávez and clarified things on good terms. "There was a mutual apology, and everything was perfect," he stated, making it clear that there are no hard feelings.

Julio Chávez had also spoken about the issue

In an interview with Infobae, Julio Chávez had surprised by saying, "I don't know him," when asked about Darín.

Even so, he acknowledged that he admires his socialization skills and would like to have that "social intelligence."

Darín was categorical in closing the topic. "He's a great actor, I never had any problem with him, and I'm not going to have one now because a media outlet decides so."
