River and Boca revealed their new alternate jerseys for the current season. Both clubs used their social media accounts to present the innovative designs, with clearly defined styles and references to each institution's identity.
El Millonario unveiled a kit with violet as the main color. The design keeps the base of the home jersey, but it replaces the traditional white with this shade, which had already been used in other stages of the club's history. On the back of the neck, the inscription "Grandeza" stands out.
The set is completed with shorts in the same color, which also have an alternate version in white, and violet socks that include the classic red diagonal sash. "A legacy that is renewed" was the message chosen for the launch, in reference to the violet jerseys worn in 2008 and 2018.

Meanwhile, Xeneize unveiled a new jersey in which white with blue and yellow details predominates. The design is inspired by the murals in the La Boca neighborhood and it features gradient stripes where the club's traditional colors alternate, while the sleeves are white with blue trim. On the back of the neck, the inscription "Dale Boca Dale" stands out.
In addition, Xeneize will have new shorts in the same color as the jersey and white socks with the upper part featuring thin blue and yellow lines.

Although in neither of the two cases was it confirmed when they will be debuted on the field, the jerseys could be used soon. In River's case, the new jersey could be seen for the first time against Argentinos Juniors, Ciudad Bolívar (Copa Argentina) or Vélez. Meanwhile, Boca's new garments could debut against Platense, Racing or Gimnasia de Chivilcoy (Copa Argentina).
The prices of the new jerseys
Since both sets are manufactured by brand Adidas, the prices are the same for both clubs.
