Surprise in the transfer market: River signs a young player arriving from Europe
Before the debut in the Torneo Clausura and while waiting for Salas and Quintero, the Millonario adds its third reinforcement
While negotiations to bring back Juan Fernando Quintero continue and River awaits the arrival of Maximiliano Salas, River continues working in the transfer market to bring in reinforcements forMarcelo Gallardo ahead of the second half of the season, during which they will play in the round of 16 of theCopa Libertadores.
In this regard, the Millonario surprised everyone and finalized the signing of a reinforcement from European soccer. This is Alex Woiski, a 19-year-old Argentine forward who played last season for Mallorca and has already been drafted by Diego Placente for the Argentina U-20 National Team.
According to journalist Germán García Grova, the Núñez team completed the signing of Woiski as a free agent, since he did not renew his contract with Mallorca. In the coming hours, he will arrive in the country to undergo a medical examination and then sign a long-term contract with the institution.

It is worth noting that in the January transfer window, the Millonario was also interested in signing the young player, but on that occasion, the deal did not come to fruition because there was no agreement on financial compensation for Mallorca.
Who is Alex Woiski?
Woiski was born in Palma de Mallorca in 2006 and is the son of football agent Ronnie Woiski and Mar del Plata native Laura Pioletti, through whom he keeps his Argentine roots. In an interview, he also acknowledged that he is a Millonario fan and that Julián Álvarez is his role model.
Regarding his playing style, the 19-year-old footballer can play across the front line as a second striker, behind the center forward, and can also play as a winger on both flanks, although he feels more comfortable on the left to play as an inverted winger.

Throughout last season, Woiski played for Mallorca's U-19 team and did not have significant involvement with the first team, which finished in tenth place in LaLiga and was just four points away from qualifying for the play-offs to play in the UEFA Conference League.
