Rockstar Games has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will be relaunched with an enhanced version on December 2. The classic western will expand its reach to next-generation consoles, Switch 2, and also to mobile devices.
The announcement details technical improvements, save compatibility, and extra benefits for PlayStation Plus and Netflix users.

When does Red Dead Redemption launch on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and smartphones
The global release will be on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, iOS, and Android. Those who own the PS4, Switch, or the backward-compatible digital version of Xbox 360 will be able to upgrade to the new version for free.
Additionally, the PS5 and PS4 editions will be added to the PlayStation Plus catalog, while on mobile devices it will be available on Netflix.
A classic returns with the full campaign and Undead Nightmare
This re-release includes the main story starring John Marston, set after the events of Red Dead Redemption 2.
It also adds the Undead Nightmare expansion and the content from the Game of the Year Edition.
Technical improvements on PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2
On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, support for 60 FPS, HDR, improved visuals, and resolution up to 4K has been confirmed. Switch 2 will take advantage of its new hardware with DLSS, HDR, mouse controls, and the same smoothness at 60 FPS.

Compatibility, services, and expansion of the Rockstar ecosystem
The new versions, developed together with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, will also be integrated into the GTA+ service and the PlayStation Plus catalog from day one.
On Android, the game will feature touch controls and download availability for all Netflix subscribers.
