Samsung has launched the beta version of One UI 8 with Android 16 and integrated AI. It is already available in some countries

Samsung has introduced the beta program for its new interface, One UI 8, based on Android 16.

It incorporates a multimodal AI agent and will be available first on foldable devices and the Galaxy S25 series.

What is One UI 8 and why does it mark a change for Galaxy?

The new version of the interface aims to improve user productivity and comfort. It is designed to simplify daily routines through smart features.

It features a system that adapts to each user and learns from their habits to offer contextual and personalized responses.

Thanks to collaboration with Google, this version combines the power of Android 16 with proactive artificial intelligence.

The new multimodal agent enables more natural communication with the phone, recognizing text, voice, and images simultaneously.

It also includes features such as "Now bar" and "Now brief", which display relevant information and suggestions caused by AI.

Data security is also key. Samsung incorporates Knox Vault, a system that isolates sensitive information to prevent unauthorized access.

The user will be able to choose whether AI processes the data directly on the device, without sending it to the cloud.

The beta program can already be tested on the Galaxy S25 series in selected countries:
