Amid a severe institutional crisis and with the possible return of Marcelo Moretti to the presidency as a backdrop, San Lorenzo has added a new conflict. This time, with the formal claim from Marcelo Tinelli, former president of the club, over a multi-million dollar debt.
Just hours before the match against Vélez, it emerged that Tinelli has formally demanded the club pay 1.1 million dollars. The claim is based on a mutual contract signed in 2019 between him and the institution during his own administration, and requires payment within 72 hours.

According to various sources, Tinelli is seeking for the club to settle the debt with an insurance company, since non-compliance could lead to even more serious financial consequences. Although he submitted the mutual contract, he stated that he doesn't intend to enforce the debt or request the club's bankruptcy.
