Sean "Diddy" Combs is once again at the center of controversy following a new allegation of sexual abuse. A former child actor accuses him of assaulting him in 2007, when he was a minor, during a networking event in Hollywood Hills.
According to the lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the young man attended the meeting hoping to advance his career. The musician invited him to speak privately about a project and took him to a back room. There, he offered him alcoholic drinks and then allegedly committed the abuse.
The plaintiff, whose identity is kept confidential, had been working as a child actor since 2004. The court filing mentions that Combs removed his pants and performed oral sex on the minor.
In addition to Diddy, the lawsuit includes his alleged agents from that time, whom he accuses of negligence. The representatives were said to have been aware of the producer's "tendencies" but did nothing to protect the boy.
Allegations of conspiracy and negligence
The legal action states that the agents and the talent agency created a disguised event to give Combs the opportunity to contact minors. Among the defendants are Lang Talent, its founder Diedre Lang, and the agency Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa.
The allegations include child sexual assault, aggravated assault, intentional emotional distress, negligent supervision, and false imprisonment. The plaintiff claims that Combs closed the door of the room to carry out the act.
At this time, Diddy is serving a four-year sentence in a federal prison for charges related to prostitution. This new lawsuit adds to other controversies surrounding the artist.
Combs' spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, vehemently denied the allegations. He called them "false and ridiculous" and attributed them to people seeking "easy money." He asserted that the musician "has never sexually assaulted anyone, including any child."
