Sebastián Parra is the new president of the Córdoba Chamber of Commerce

The Córdoba Chamber of Commerce elected Sebastián Parra as president at the assembly held on June 30. This is the first time that leadership has gone to an entrepreneur from the automotive sector. Parra replaces José Viale in the leadership. He will be accompanied by Tomás Grunhaut and Darío Brasca as first and second vice presidents, respectively. Fabián Servetto was appointed secretary and Francisco Vaccaro took over Business Action. Rolando Pérez was put in charge of the Institutional Deputy Secretariat. Martín Dahan will serve as treasurer and Ricardo Luis Morelli will be deputy treasurer in the new structure. The authorities took office this Thursday during a working breakfast with the outgoing management. During the meeting, pending issues and immediate action lines were reviewed.

Work plan and representation

The board of directors was elected unanimously with the aim of strengthening sectoral participation in Córdoba. The new leadership proposes regular meetings with associated chambers and individual members. The objective is to gather concerns and develop joint proposals. "The key to our institutional project lies in teamwork. We want all chambers, sectors, and each member to feel included, so that we can listen to each other and build real solutions together. The Chamber is the place where everyone has a voice and can contribute," was Parra's message. Among the first goals are training programs, financing channels, and dialogue tables with public authorities. The board plans to coordinate with the municipality and the province to promote measures that benefit activity. The agenda will be presented at the next expanded members' meeting. Meanwhile, Parra highlighted the reactivation of the automotive sector and celebrated macroeconomic stability: "We are enthusiastic about this development that comes hand in hand with macroeconomic normalization," he recently stated. The family business he leads is an official Citroën dealership. In recent years, Parra has ventured into motorcycle sales and joined the Chinese brand Baic; since 2020, he has chaired the Córdoba regional branch of ACARA.
