Security operations at Quinta de Olivos after a bomb threat

A woman made a 911 call and claimed to have placed an explosive device at the location

An Argentine Federal Police (PFA) bomb squad is currently working at the Presidential Residence of Olivos following a bomb threat received through a 911 call, according to authorities.

The specialized explosives team is conducting an internal and external inspection operation at the official residence of President Javier Milei, located at the intersection of Maipú and Antonio Malaver avenues, in the Buenos Aires district of Vicente López.

As a preventive measure and in compliance with security protocol, entry and exit to the premises have been temporarily suspended. The operation also covers Villate Street, one of the roads surrounding the property.

The alert originated around 12:30 p.m. when a woman called the Buenos Aires Police emergency center and claimed to have placed an explosive device at the site.

Personnel from the Division of Constitutional Crimes are expected to join the procedure to assist with the investigation.
