Fourteen years after the media scandal that pitted her against Ayelén Paleo and ended in her separation from Santiago Bal, Carmen Barbieri spoke again about the dancer. This time, she did so after the arrest of Paleo's mother, accused of being part of a human trafficking network.
The comedian was interviewed by SQP and did not avoid the subject. With a tone full of irony, she stated: "Let her solve it in court and let there be justice. For me, there has already been divine justice."
Memories of a conflict that marked her life
Barbieri recalled the years of conflict with Paleo and did not hide her discomfort. "I see this young lady's mother, with handcuffs and police, and I think Ayelén must be suffering a lot. She must be suffering just as I did when she and her brother threatened my mother over the phone," she said bluntly.

She even mentioned what it would have meant for her ex-husband: "It's a good thing Santiago is not alive, because he would die again from the distress this girl would cause him."
Regarding the dancer's participation in Bailando, Carmen remarked ironically: "She wanted to be famous and now she is, but for something else. Fame is tough in general, you have to be careful."
