After facing criticism for her attitude during a mobile broadcast at the CGT strike, Paula Bernini decided to make a change in her life. The journalist was accused of allegedly mistreating colleagues at TN and was involved in a tense exchange with a street vendor, which caused a stir on social media.

Amid the controversy, Bernini used her Instagram stories to announce that she would be stepping away from the media for a while. With an emotional message, she confirmed that she will travel to Europe with her parents, fulfilling a long-postponed dream.

"I made this decision thanks to you," she expressed, thanking the support she received. She mentioned that many followers shared their own experiences, inspiring her not to miss this opportunity to create memories with her parents.

Family trip and disconnection from the scandal

Paula Bernini detailed that the itinerary will include a first stop in Madrid, then flying to Milan and touring northern Italy by car. Although she mentioned they will avoid expensive excursions, she highlighted that the important thing will be to enjoy unforgettable landscapes together.

She shared that her father is excited about planning the trip and sends her books about Europe, marking routes and places to visit. "I'm happy to see my folks happy," the host confessed.

She also confirmed that she will be on vacation from April 26 to May 18, taking two weeks away from the cameras. During that time, she plans to disconnect from the media noise and focus on her family.

The live exchange that sparked the controversy

On Thursday, April 10, while covering the national CGT strike from the Flores neighborhood, Bernini was involved in a tense moment with a merchant. The journalist attempted to interview him live, but the man reacted aggressively.

After receiving derogatory comments from the man, initiated by a provocative question from the reporter, Bernini continued with irony, abruptly ending the exchange. The clip quickly went viral and caused divided opinions on social media.

Hours later, Paula clarified on Instagram that she didn't feel offended. "It made me laugh and a bit embarrassed for him. He chose to be vulgar, I continued doing my job," she said in a video.

She also denied having conflicts with her TN colleagues, dismissing rumors that circulated after the episode. She assured that her decision to travel was an emotional response to the support received from the public.

The mistreatment according to Bernini's colleagues

On the show "Sálvese quien pueda" (América), Yanina Latorre and her panelists analyzed Bernini's rising career and the reasons why the reporter turned host changed her way of treating her own colleagues.

The recent decision to travel with her parents not only silences rumors, without intending to, Bernini closed the most talked-about chapter of the week with a personal decision that removes her from the scandal scene.
