Sofía Gonet, better known as La Reini, starred in one of the most talked-about moments of the night on MasterChef Celebrity (Telefe). With a single phrase, the influencer dove right into the historic rivalry between Wanda Nara and la China Suárez.
Everything happened during Tuesday's gala, when the jury, led by Germán Martitegui, presented a challenge based on chance. The contestants had to spin a roulette wheel with the faces of the judges and the host and cook the favorite dish of the person they landed on.
Wanda Nara hizo un comentario picante en MasterChef que recordó al WandaGate
"Always team Wanda, never team China"
Luck was on Sofía's side, as she ended up on Wanda Nara's team along with Luis Ventura and Valentina Cervantes. Their mission was to prepare a hamburger, one of the simplest dishes of the night.
Amid laughter, La Reini celebrated her good fortune with a phrase that quickly went viral: "Always team Wanda, never team China," she said unfiltered in her solo interview. The comment set social media ablaze and reignited the eternal media feud between Wanda and the actress.
A nod to her ex
However, Sofía Gonet did not just stand out for her bold comment. She also starred in another of the night's funniest moments by recalling her ex-partner, Homero Pettinato, while she was cooking her dish.
While preparing some pork ribs, La Reini confessed: "Oh, I used to cook ribs with my ex, who's a friend of Betu," she said, looking at Damián Betular. The anecdote sparked laughter among those present and ended with an even more unexpected comment: "Homero, I love you, come back to me, please. Forgive me, I'll delete the TikTok video, let's get back together."
The jury applauded her performance
Beyond the humor, her dish received great feedback from the jury. Martitegui praised the preparation, saying: "I want to welcome four things to MasterChef: chutney, well-cooked pork, perfectly made shoestring potatoes, and La Reini."
