A Spanish woman was kidnapped, raped, and subjected to terrible torture for seven days by three illegal Algerian immigrants in a squatted apartment in the San Juan XXIII neighborhood of Alicante.
The victim, Eva María, spoke live on the program "En boca de todos" from her hospital bed and still in deep pain. With enormous courage, she recounted the horror she experienced: "They tied me up with zip ties and started burning me with a blowtorch, and the next day the rapes began."

After being rescued by the National Police and spending several days hospitalized, María explained that her health remains delicate and that she will have to undergo surgery in the coming days due to the severe burns she suffered: "I'm still unwell and they're going to transfer me to the burn hospital," she said with visible emotion.
The journalists wanted to know more details about what happened and, with enormous bravery, Eva María recounted step by step how she ended up in the drug den in the San Juan XXIII neighborhood of Alicante, who took her there, and how her ordeal began.
"I got there through an acquaintance who told me there were some friends from San Juan who wanted to meet me... We entered the house and when I realized it, I went to the bathroom, took a few drags from a marijuana joint, I was dizzy," the victim recounted.
"When I came out, she wasn't there and one of them punched me, destroyed my eye... They took me up to the room, there were some cardboard pieces on the floor, they tied me up with zip ties and started burning me with a blowtorch, and the next day the rapes began...," she added.

Shocked by the brutality of the account, the Spanish journalist asked her how she felt after going through such an atrocious experience. Eva María, her voice breaking, replied: "I wanted to die from the very first moment. I didn't know why someone could do that without knowing me, just because."
"It was a week... On the last day I was having seizures on the floor and their intention was to put me in the car and leave me abandoned in a field... If it hadn't been for the girl who arrived... She was brought by the same one who took me, I told her get out of here, look what they've done to me. When the police came, they found me convulsing, almost dead...," Eva María concluded.
