The tension between Luis Ventura and Florencia Peña added a new chapter after the explosive statements made by the journalist regarding the intimate video of the actress that was leaked in 2012.
After Flor Peña publicly accused him of trying to buy that material before it went viral, the host responded on television and was emphatic: “Take me to court if you suspect me.”
During his appearance on A la tarde (América TV), Luis Ventura explained how he found out about the existence of the video featuring Florencia Peña and her then-partner, Mariano Otero.
According to him, someone contacted him to offer the material in exchange for money. “They offered me the video for 10 pesos. I didn't have that money, but I wanted the material so it wouldn't come out,” he asserted.
The journalist maintained that his intention was to prevent the dissemination and to hand it directly to the actress through a close contact. “The arrangement was to buy it to give it to Florencia,” he stated.
Ventura recounted that he eventually handed over part of the money, although he never received the promised material. Days later, the video began circulating on social media and various websites.
Additionally, he emphasized that he spoke directly with the actress when the media scandal erupted. “I called her and explained what had happened. She told me she was filing a complaint,” he recalled.
Far from lowering the tone, Luis Ventura insisted that he never had any responsibility in the viralization of the intimate material and publicly challenged the actress.
“If Florencia has any doubts, let her take it to court,” the journalist shot back. And then he concluded: “I ask you please, Florencia, take me to court if you suspect me.”
The statements came after Flor Peña recalled old controversies with Ventura and harshly questioned his recent remarks, where he had told her to “keep making porn videos,” a phrase that generated strong backlash on social media.
The actress claimed that Ventura had tried to buy the intimate video before it became public, something the host partially acknowledged, although he denied trying to profit from the content.
