A study revealed that Spain is the main destination for illegal immigrants by land, sea and air

In a scenario of widespread containment throughout the community block, Spain has tragically consolidated itself during the year 2025 as the main destination for illegal immigration by air, land and sea. While the European Union registered a total of 669,400 first asylum requests, which represents a significant decrease of 27% compared to the previous year, Pedro Sánchez's open border policy has kept our country in a situation of extreme vulnerability

With 141,035 files registered by Eurostat, Spain accounted for 21.1% of the European total, easily surpassing Italy, which had 126,635 requests. This avalanche is no accident, but the result of management that uses asylum requests as a "reliable thermometer" to measure the real volume of illegal immigration that crosses our borders.

According to police sources consulted by the media, these figures act as an accurate metric that covers more than 90% of the flow of illegal immigration.

National data from the Ministry of the Interior are even more alarming, bringing the total number of requests on Spanish soil to 144,396.

The breakdown by nationality reveals a massive entry strategy based on governmental laziness: Latin America: It represents 72% of requests, with Venezuela leading the way with 85,413 requests (almost 59% of the national total), followed by Colombia with 14,524 and Peru with 3,511.

This profile mostly uses the airway through regular commercial flights with the "clear intention of materializing an indefinite illegal stay

Africa: The contingent from this continent, led by Mali (16,004) and Senegal (3,333), represents between 15-18% and accesses illegally by sea on board boats.

Asia: Flows are maintained from countries such as Pakistan.

The pressure is especially unbearable at key points in our geography, evidencing a geographical concentration that overwhelms local capacities.

Madrid capitalized the figure of 43,585 requests (more than 30% of the total), an amount that practically equals the sum of Andalusia (20,013) and Catalonia (17,206) combined. For their part, border regions such as the Canary Islands (7,825) and Galicia (7,095) also suffer

the consequences of this lack of control.

The efficiency of the protection system has been replaced by a monumental administrative traffic jam under the command of the communist Pedro Sánchez. At the close of 2025, 97,275 applications were pending for processing and another 121,456 pending resolution.

Despite this collapse, Spain granted 76,210 protection statutes, highlighting an outrageous protection rate of 98.78% for Venezuelan citizens at the proposal of the Inter-Ministerial Commission on Asylum and Refuge (CIAR).
