Surviving Mars: Relaunched will arrive on November 10 with a remastered version

Paradox Interactive and Haemimont Games have announced that Surviving Mars: Relaunched will officially launch on November 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. This new version offers a complete visual remaster, an optimized management system, and multiple expansions that will broaden the Martian colonization experience.

The title aims to establish itself as a benchmark within the science fiction city builder genre, combining resource management, survival, and political strategy in a hostile environment.

The game will arrive in two versions:

Standard Edition, featuring the remastered base game.
Ultimate Edition, which includes the Prime Mission expansion pass, the exclusive sponsor Interplanetary Codex, and early access to the upcoming expansions Feeding the Future (Q2 2026) and Machine Utopia (Q4 2026).

Paradox has confirmed special discounts for those who already own the original version, as part of a strategy aimed at rewarding community loyalty and encouraging migration to the new release.

Gameplay innovations and expansion of the Martian universe

Among the main improvements is a redesigned interface and a significant technical leap in lighting, textures, and animations. Additionally, the Martian Assembly module introduces new political dynamics: players will be able to draft laws, manage collective morale, and respond to social crises.

The Interplanetary Codex sponsor, exclusive to the Ultimate Edition, adds a diplomatic relations system with Earth, management of international funds, and balancing of interests among internal factions.

Meanwhile, the Space Race expansion, included by default, allows competition with rival colonies sponsored by corporations and space agencies, intensifying the struggle for resources and prestige.

Survival, automation, and terraforming

The management of vital resources—water, oxygen, and energy—will remain the central focus, now with the help of improved drones and automated cargo trains. Each colonist will have unique traits, routines, and needs, increasing the challenge of maintaining a stable and productive colony.

The upcoming expansions, Feeding the Future and Machine Utopia, will expand food production and industrial automation, respectively.

Finally, the integration of the Green Planet pack and the Laika project introduces terraforming and fauna mechanics, allowing the Martian ecosystem to be modified until it becomes habitable, in an ecological vision of humanity's future on the red planet.
