Talleres chose Carlos Tévez as its new head coach.
The Apache takes over this Wednesday and will make his debut against San Lorenzo at the start of the Clausura Tournament
Carlos Tévez has been confirmed as the new coach of Talleres de Córdoba and will make his debut this Friday against San Lorenzo. He takes over after the unexpected resignation of Diego Cocca, who left without coaching a single match. The change comes just days before the start of the domestic tournament.
Tévez will be presented this Wednesday morning at the CARD, with the presence of the professional squad. The decision was made with the urgency required by the club's management. The club has confirmed that the official announcement will be made through its social media channels.
The "T" is once again betting on a high-profile figure, after a sports semester with results below expectations. During that period, the team was eliminated from three competitions. This is still with the lingering joy of the Supercopa won against River.

An executive response
The Torneo Clausura will be key for Talleres to regain positions in the overall standings. The team will seek to consolidate its place in the division and compete higher up. The new coaching staff takes over with the goal of earning points from the start.
In this context, Andrés Fassi reactivated negotiations with Tévez, who had already been considered before the arrival of Cocca. The president acted quickly to avoid losing time or points. He sought a strong and authoritative name to redirect the semester.
Cocca had been chosen for his international experience, but his tenure never materialized. This Tuesday morning he submitted his resignation unexpectedly. The management, led by Fassi, replied within hours.

The Apache and an immediate challenge
Tévez arrives at the "T" after his stints with Independiente and Rosario Central. He had not coached for over a year. His arrival represents a bet on his character and his knowledge of Argentine soccer.
A few weeks ago, Tévez himself had said that he was waiting for a serious project with support. "That is very difficult in Argentina," he had declared. Finally, he accepted the challenge of working at a club with structure and potential.
The debut will be this Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the Mario Alberto Kempes, against San Lorenzo. Tévez will have just two training sessions to prepare for the match. Fassi's institutional leadership will now focus on providing stability to the new cycle.
