Diego Cocca resigned from Talleres without even making his debut in the Torneo Clausura.

The head coach stepped down three days before the start of the tournament due to a lack of reinforcements and unfulfilled promises to players, and the management is already looking for a replacement

With just three days left before the start of the Clausura Tournament, Talleres de Córdoba is engulfed in chaos, as its coach, Diego Cocca,  has resigned without having made his official debut since his arrival at the end of May.

According to various sources, after Tuesday's practice, Cocca met with the players at T's training ground and there informed them of his decision. His resignation is due to two reasons that exhausted his patience and caused his differenceswith the management.

The first is the lack of reinforcements. Since the transfer window opened, Cocca submitted a list of players to add to the squad and, so far,  none have arrived. Only two new players have joined: Luis Miguel Angulo  and Luis Sequeira, who were recalled from their spells at Central Córdoba and Independiente Rivadavia respectively.

Meanwhile, the second reason is his frustration with some players in the squad, as several of them had offers to leave and promised transfers that never materialized. The situations that angered him the most were those of Juan Portillo and Galarza Fonda, sought after by River, and the departures of Cristian Tarragona to Unión and Marcos Portillo to Platense.

Given this adverse scenario, Talleres's management must decide who will replace Cocca. For tomorrow's practice, Mariano Levisman, the current Reserve team coach, will take over on an interim basis.
