This Tuesday, Talleres of Córdoba said goodbye to idol Daniel Willington, who marked an era and passed away on Monday at the age of 83.

At La Boutique, Talleres's stadium, family members, friends, club officials, fans, and former club legends bid farewell to "Loco" Willington, the eternal idol.
For four hours, the public came to say goodbye to "Daniel," to offer their respects and support to Willington's family and loved ones.
At 1:30 p.m., the final blessing and tribute took place on the field where he excelled wearing the number ten. Afterwards, the procession departed for Parque Cemetery, on the road to Colonia Tirolesa.

Willington was born on September 1, 1942, in Santa Fe and arrived in Córdoba as a child. He made his debut for Talleres at just 16 years old, where he quickly won the affection of the people for his exquisite technique, personality, and love for the club.

His career also took him to Huracán, Veracruz of Mexico, and Instituto, where he shared the squad with Osvaldo Ardiles and Mario Kempes.
However, his story became forever linked to the club from Barrio Jardín, both as a player and as the coach who led the team to promotion to Primera in 1994.
Willington was recognized during his lifetime as one of the greatest legends of Córdoba soccer.
In fact, one of the stands at Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium bears his name, in tribute to his career and his indelible legacy.
