This Monday, September 14, Telefe surprised everyone by revealing that the singer L-Gante will not participate in the upcoming edition of MasterChef Celebrity. The announcement came through the official account of the channel on X and followed after the musician had been among the first confirmed names for the celebrity cooking reality show.
The channel's post was direct and clear. “In response to the inquiries received, we want to inform that L-Gante will not be part of this edition of MasterChef Celebrity,” wrote Telefe. The message went viral in no time and sparked all kinds of reactions among the show's followers.
The artist's withdrawal was not a complete secret. Days earlier, journalist Nahuel Saa, better known as “La Criti,” had anticipated the information. However, several colleagues, including Ángel de Brito, denied the rumor and created confusion in the media environment.
When Telefe officially confirmed the news, “La Criti” was quick to respond. “CONFIRMED INFORMATION! Cite the source! Greetings to those who denied me,” he posted on his account. In this way, the young journalist vindicated his scoop and closed the episode with a clear reference to those who had questioned his work.
The cast is already complete
While the issue of L-Gante was being resolved, Telefe finished assembling the lineup of 24 participants. On Tuesday, September 8, the channel announced the last names and closed the definitive list for the upcoming season of MasterChef Celebrity.
Among the selected are figures from various fields. There are singer Luck Ra, host and comedian Lizy Tagliani, panelist La China Ansa, and former Big Brother contestant Julieta Poggio. Also joining are actor Grego Rossello, former host Karina Mazzocco, and current Bendita host, Edith Hermida.
Actress Julieta Nair Calvo, who has just had a great moment in theater with the play Annie, returns to television. Marta Fort, daughter of Ricardo Fort, accepted the challenge of cooking in front of the cameras. Comedian Pachu Peña, remembered for Peligro Sin Codificar, and actor Nazareno Casero, son of Alfredo Casero, complete part of the artistic cast.
Also confirmed were Sebastián Presta, former footballer and boxer Pablo Migliore, sports journalists Rocío Robles and Morena Beltrán, actor Diego Ramos, political journalist Luciana Geuna, and Paula Trapani. Musician Hernán Coronel, leader of Mala Fama, singer Alejandro Lerner, comedian Campi, announcer Elizabeth Vernaci, and journalist and commentator Pablo Giralt round out the group of 24 celebrities.
Anticipation for the start
With L-Gante's withdrawal now official and the rest of the cast finalized, attention now focuses on the start of the new season. The format remains the same: celebrities who are not professional cooks face culinary challenges under the watchful eye of a demanding jury.
In his place, the replacement will be Mike Amigorena. Telefe had been looking for this figure from the beginning, although initially the actor rejected the proposal, he now confirms that he will be on the gastronomic program.
