With million-dollar investments projected in mining and six new world-class copper developments ready to advance simultaneously, the sector anticipates a strong business growth, worker hiring, and demand for goods and services in various regions of the country.
The magnitude of the opportunities was highlighted by Roberto Cacciola, president of the Argentine Chamber of Mining Companies (CAEM), during the RIGI Business Round held in Rosario.
The meeting brought together representatives from 43 mining, energy, and infrastructure companies with small and medium-sized enterprises interested in becoming suppliers for the large projects, driven by the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI) of the Government of Javier Milei.

"We are the only country in the world that has six world-class projects ready for simultaneous development," Cacciola stated, referring to the potential of the investment portfolio that could transform mining activity and expand its impact on the national productive framework.
7,000 jobs per project
One of the most relevant data points for measuring the economic impact of the ventures is related to labor demand.
According to Cacciola, each copper project will require between 6,000 and 7,000 workers during its construction phase. This anticipates a significant need for labor and, at the same time, an opportunity for companies from various sectors.
The activity will not be limited to the direct hiring of mining personnel. The construction of the developments will require camps, roads, metal structures, transportation, accommodation, food, industrial services, chemical supplies, and maintenance.
