The Argentine entertainment world is going through hours of deep sorrow after the death of Juan Carlos Velázquez became known, popularly known as "El Mini" for his participation in Duro de Domar. The actor was 64 years old and his death was confirmed in recent hours through social media.
The news was released by journalist Juan Etchegoyen, who expressed his grief with a farewell message. "With deep sorrow I want to announce that a short while ago Juan Carlos Velázquez, "El Mini" from Duro de Domar, passed away. Rest in peace, my friend, you will be missed", he wrote.
Shortly afterward, the communicator expanded on the information and explained the causes of the death. According to his account, Velázquez had been admitted to a clinic with a case of severe pneumonia. "He was 64 years old. He was admitted with very severe pneumonia and at midday he was transferred to intensive care", Etchegoyen indicated. Hours later, the actor suffered a heart attack and, despite the medical efforts, he could not be successfully resuscitated.

It was not the first time that his state of health caused concern. In 2024, Juan Carlos Velázquez had been urgently hospitalized after suffering a decompensation at his home. At that time, he himself explained that everything had begun as a mild condition. "I caught what seemed like a common flu, and then it kept getting worse", he recounted then about the health problem that had been affecting him.

In recent times, the actor had been working alongside Marcelo Teto Medina, who is going through a tough battle against cancer. The host also said goodbye to him publicly with an emotional message. "Fly high, dear friend Juan Carlos, thank you for so much. I will miss you. May God receive you by his side", he wrote.
