The Government will present the 2027 Budget project this Tuesday in the Chamber of Deputies, reaffirming fiscal balance as the central axis of economic policy and adding infrastructure works requested by allied governors and dialoguers.
The initiative defines the priorities for the last year of Javier Milei's term and outlines the variables with which the Executive plans to approach the presidential elections: lower inflation, recovery of activity, improvement in revenue, and expansion of foreign trade, all under the non-negotiable premise of zero deficit.
Unlike previous presentations, the President will not attend the chamber. On Monday, he met with legislators from La Libertad Avanza at the Casa Rosada. For more than two and a half hours, he focused on the balance of the economic situation and the need to maintain the course, without specifically addressing the Budget. The message was clear: fiscal discipline and the deceleration of inflation are non-negotiable.
The ruling party arrives at the discussion after several weeks of conversations with the provinces. Part of these exchanges will translate into the incorporation of infrastructure projects, a tool with which the Executive seeks to organize legislative support without altering the guiding principle: any agreement must preserve the balance of public accounts.
