The amounts that Liberty Media will distribute to the teams for their results in the 2025 season were leaked
Formula 1 confirmed for 2025 a financial distribution that once again puts the spotlight on the inequality of resources within the grid. According to data from RacingNews365, Liberty Media will distribute 45% of the total Constructors' Championship revenue among the teams, a figure close to historic highs and a reflection of the category's strong commercial growth.
Out of an estimated total of 3.7 billion dollars caused, the fund destined exclusively for prize money amounts to 1.25 billion, not including additional bonuses. The system keeps its core logic: a majority share of the money is distributed based on sporting performance, while the rest corresponds to performance incentives or specific agreements.
The structure establishes a clear difference between the top and the bottom of the championship. The championreceives 14% of the total fund, while the tenth-placed team receives barely 6%, a gap that directly affects competitiveness and the long-term planning of each team.
In that scenario, McLaren emerges as the big beneficiary of the 2025 distribution, with estimated revenue of 175 million dollars. The British team capitalized on an outstanding season, with Lando Norris as champion and Oscar Piastri third, results that allowed the team to secure the Constructors' title several rounds in advance and achieve a significant jump compared with what it received the previous year.

Mercedes is in second place with 164 million dollars, driven by the consistency of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, which allowed the team to improve its position significantly compared with 2024. Red Bull, which had been dominating in recent seasons, finishes third with 152 million. Although Max Verstappen was close to retaining the world title, the lack of a consistent second driver constrained the team's overall performance.
Ferrari appears in fourth place with 141 million dollars, relegated after having been runner-up the previous year, in a season marked mainly by Charles Leclerc's results. One of the big surprises of the distribution is Williams, which climbs to fifth place and secures 130 million after having finished ninth in 2024.
Further back are Racing Bulls, with 119 million, Aston Martin with 107 and Haas with 96. Sauber occupies ninth place with an allocation of 85 milliondollars, while Alpine closes the table with just 75 million, a sharp drop that reflects its poor sporting performance during the season.

Beyond the numbers, this distribution doesn't only define revenue. This model conditions technological investments, development capacity and attractiveness for sponsors, factors that ultimately have a direct impact on the competitive balance of the championship.
