Star Wars' most feared villains return in the new season of 'Ahsoka'

Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati return in season 2 of Ahsoka with new intrigues in the Force

The second season of Star Wars: Ahsoka will bring back two of the most acclaimed villains among fans: Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. The duo will return with new challenges and an even more significant role in the saga.

According to The Direct, Ivanna Sakhno will continue portraying Shin. Rory McCann will take the place of the late Ray Stevenson in the role of Baylan. Lucasfilm's production decided to keep the character alive in order not to alter the plot.

Baylan's future and his connection to the Force

The first season showed Baylan separated from Shin, embarking on a quest in Peridea and discovering the statues of the gods of Mortis. That ending made it clear that his story had much more to explore.

In the new installment, Baylan will focus on deciphering the secrets of the Force and attempting to transcend the classic division between Jedi and Sith. His unique vision makes him one of the most complex antagonists in the saga.

Shin Hati's evolution

At the end of the first season, Shin was seeking a place within the Empire, marking a path different from her master's. However, the second part promises to show how this relationship will remain key in the narrative.

A difficult but necessary replacement

After Stevenson's death in 2023, Baylan's future was left in doubt. Finally, Lucasfilm chose to recast the role, and Rory McCann was selected to continue the character. According to Sakhno, "working with him has been unbelievable; his performance speaks for itself."

Star Wars continues expanding its universe

Disney+ turned Ahsoka into one of the most talked-about series in the saga. The live-action allowed characters from Rebels to appear and added new figures, with Baylan and Shin as the most original villains in years.

Season 2 doesn't have a confirmed release date, but expectations are high. Every clue suggests that these characters will play a decisive role in the future of the universe created by George Lucas.
