The opposition risks almost all its seats in the upcoming legislative elections.
With 93.86% of Deputies and 100% of Senators in the hands of opposition members, LLA starts with an advantage to expand its legislative power
In the 2025 legislative elections, 93 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 24 in the Senate will be renewed.
The most relevant fact in the current political landscape is that the vast majority of those seats are held by the opposition, which represents an unbeatable opportunity for the libertarian ruling party to grow in both chambers.
Chamber of Deputies
Of the 93 seats that will be contested, these are the ones corresponding to each bloc:
- Unión por la Patria: 45 out of 99 seats (45.4%)
- UCR: 25 out of 34 (73.5%)
- PRO: 21 out of 37 (56.7%)
- Hacemos Coalición Federal: 12 out of 22 (54.5%)
- La Libertad Avanza: 7 out of 39 (17.9%)
- Frente de Izquierda: 4 out of 5 (80%)
This means that 93.86% of the seats at stake in the Chamber of Deputies belong to opposition forces. Meanwhile, La Libertad Avanza is putting only 7 seats at risk, which allows it to play offensively, risking little and potentially gaining a lot.

Chamber of Senators
The situation is even more favorable for the ruling party in the Upper Chamber. All 24 seats to be renewed in the Senate are opposition seats:
- Unión por la Patria: 15 seats (62.5%)
- UCR: 4 seats (16.67%)
- PRO and allies: 3 seats (12.5%)
- Provincial blocs allied with Kirchnerism: 2 seats (8.33%)
The ruling party is not risking any seats and has the opportunity to make a significant leap in parliamentary representation if it consolidates its support in key provinces.

Which provinces elect senators and deputies
The provinces that will renew their representatives in both chambers are:
A favorable scenario for Javier Milei
With this scenario, La Libertad Avanza has everything to win and grow in legislative representation while risking almost nothing. On the other hand, the opposition faces a critical election, where it could lose much of its parliamentary weight.
If the libertarians manage to consolidate the popular support that brought them to the presidency, they could reshape the National Congress in their favor.
