A decade after its release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is back in the spotlight. A report that emerged in Poland has reignited rumors about a new paid expansion planned for 2026, conceived as a direct prelude to The Witcher 4.
The possibility excites fans and also the market. The goal would be to reactivate the saga, recapture players, and prepare the ground for the next main installment.

The report that reignited the rumors
The information comes from an article published by Strefa Inwestorów, where Mateusz Chrzanowski, an analyst at Noble Securities, is cited. According to his projections, CD Projekt would release a new DLC for The Witcher 3 in May 2026.
The analyst estimates sales close to 11 million copies, with an approximate price of 30 dollars and a production budget of about 52 million zlotys (around 14.5 million dollars).
A key move toward The Witcher 4
According to Chrzanowski, this expansion would not be simple additional content. It would function as the start of the marketing campaign for The Witcher 4, whose release the same analyst places in the fourth quarter of 2027.
