Quinteros himself underwent the test together with the police authorities. After the procedure, the Chief of Police indicated that the decision was communicated minutes before the start of the meeting and described it as "timely and necessary". "In this police force, anyone who doesn't understand and abide by the rules will have little future", he stated.
Meanwhile, Minister Quinteros stated that the initiative is part of a process of institutional transformation of the force.
"Córdoba's Police is evolving and changing paradigms in order to strengthen professionalism and transparency. Undergoing this type of control is an obligation for those of us who have responsibilities in matters of security", he expressed.
The health operation consisted of a toxicological urine analysis for the detection of psychoactive substances, complemented by an additional saliva sample, and it was carried out by health personnel from the force itself.
