The Federal Justice ordered the immediate cessation of the dissemination of the audios illegally recorded of Karina Milei, the Secretary General of the Presidency, at Casa Rosada.
The announcement was made by the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, who explained that the Justice recognized that "this is a serious violation of institutional privacy and not a case of freedom of expression".
"A precautionary measure is decreed, ordering only the cessation of the dissemination exclusively of the audios recorded at the Casa de Gobierno de la Nación, announced on 08/29/2025 (August 29, 2025) – as reported – that are attributed to Ms. Karina Elizabeth Milei, through any written and/or audiovisual media and/or through social networks from any site, platform and/or web channel," the document reads.
This ruling comes after Adorni announced moments earlier that the Government of Javier Milei filed a complaint before the Federal Justice against what he defined as "an illegal intelligence operation" aimed at destabilizing the country during the electoral campaign, just days before the elections in Buenos Aires province.

According to the spokesperson, private conversations of Karina Milei and other Executive officials were recorded, which were manipulated and selectively disseminated with the aim of causing political harm.
"The Government filed a complaint before the Federal Justice regarding an illegal intelligence operation intended to destabilize the country during the electoral campaign. Private conversations of Karina Milei and other officials were recorded, which were manipulated and disseminated to influence the Executive Branch. This was not a leak. It was an illegal, planned, and targeted attack. End," Adorni explained in a post on X.
According to the libertarian administration, the audios were edited, taken out of context, and manipulated for strictly political purposes, seeking to discredit the Executive and its circle at a sensitive moment in the electoral campaign, while at the same time generating uncertainty that affects the country's economy.

Days earlier, Adorni had also commented on his X account about the leaked audios: "Regarding the alleged audios of Karina Milei: if they are real, we are facing an unprecedented scandal. It would be the first time in Argentine history that an official is recorded inside Casa Rosada".
He added: "The dissemination of these audios, 10 days before the Buenos Aires province election, confirms that everything that has been happening is an orchestrated and planned disinformation operation, with the clear objective of destabilizing the government and maliciously influencing the electoral process".
