This is the new affordable motorcycle that Harley-Davidson launched with an Indian manufacturer
Harley-Davidson joins Hero MotoCorp and launches an affordable motorcycle in India to regain market share
The iconic Harley-Davidson is going through one of the most challenging periods in its history. With declining sales and an aging audience, the brand is seeking new ways to attract young motorcyclists.
The solution came from Asia. An alliance with Hero MotoCorp in India to manufacture a smaller and more affordable motorcycle, something unprecedented in the American company's strategy.

What the new affordable Harley-Davidson motorcycle is like
The new Harley will be based on the X440, a single-cylinder model developed in India that will cost just over 2,000 euros. It will have a 440 cc engine, electronic injection, 27 hp, and a six-speed gearbox.
It will be launched in India in the third quarter of 2025, but it is expected to later reach European markets. It would compete with models such as the Honda GB350S or the Triumph Speed 400.
Direct competition in the 350-500 cc segment
The segment targeted by the new Harley is highly competitive. Its rivals will include the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, the Bajaj Dominar, the KTM Duke 390, and Triumph's 400 range.

More Harley-Davidson bets
In addition to the new Indian motorcycle, the company is preparing its return to the sports world: in 2026, it will participate with its baggers in an international championship that will accompany MotoGP.
They also claim to be working on the evolution of the design of their classics, although without breaking with the aesthetic that made it famous.
Harley's reality in Argentina
In the country, the story is different. Operated by Grupo Simpa, Harley-Davidson has just opened an exclusive dealership on Av. del Libertador, with an investment of more than 2 million dollars.

The local outlook is positive: they expect to grow sales by 10% during 2025, in a super-premium segment with motorcycles starting at $40,000. They also plan riding clinics to attract new audiences, especially women.
