After conquering the World Cup and becoming one of the most successful coaches in Argentine football, Lionel Scaloni chose to maintain a low profile away from the major urban centers. Although he spends a good part of the year traveling for his commitments with the National Team, the coach has long found the place where he enjoys tranquility with his family: the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Scaloni's story with the island began long before he took over as coach of Argentina. In 2008, he arrived at RCD Mallorca to continue his career as a professional footballer, and it was during that time that he met Elisa Montero, who would eventually become his life partner. After ending his playing career in 2015, he decided to settle permanently in that destination, which has since become his home.

What is Lionel Scaloni's house like in Mallorca?

The house reflects the reserved style that characterizes the coach. Far from excess, it combines modern architecture with spacious, bright, and functional areas, designed to enjoy the natural surroundings and family life.

The large windows allow natural light to flood every room and offer privileged views of the Mediterranean landscape. The decor opts for light colors, simple lines, and noble materials, creating an elegant atmosphere without falling into ostentation.

Outside, the property features a large covered gallery, a turquoise swimming pool, an extensive garden, and a terrace from which one can enjoy the island's climate for much of the year. Each of these spaces was designed to share moments with family and take advantage of the tranquility that the area offers.

The house also has a private gym, a relaxation area, and different spaces prepared to host friends and family when the football calendar gives him a break.

A refuge away from the pressure of football

Bunyola is one of the quietest municipalities in Mallorca. Surrounded by the Sierra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it offers a privileged natural environment that combines mountains, vegetation, and proximity to the Mediterranean.

This balance between nature, privacy, and good connectivity with Palma was decisive for Scaloni to choose to settle there. From the island, he can easily travel to any destination when he needs to coach the Argentine National Team, without sacrificing the calm of his family life.

When sports obligations allow, the coach takes advantage of the Mallorcan landscape to practice another of his great passions: cycling. The routes of the Sierra de Tramuntana are a regular part of his rides and have become the ideal setting for training, staying fit, and disconnecting from the intense pressure of leading one of the most important national teams in the world.
